Leadership and Executive Coaching

Lead for your change

  • Got big ambitions but struggling to achieve the changes that you want?

  • Want your team to take calculated risks and have the resilience to deal with things not working out?

  • Facing a big decision that you want to tackle with authenticity?

  • Want to make a step change in your motivation and the energy that you show up with?

  • Got difficult challenges with team members, peers or superiors that you want to transform?

  • Getting great feedback but experiencing that ‘lonely at the top’ feeling?

Delivering meaningful change can be difficult. It takes clarity, resilience, courage, vulnerability, big relationships and determination to not give in when things don’t go your way. Coaching can bring you the energy and resilience required to successfully deliver meaningful change.

Why Tim?

During my career I have led a number of teams with multi-million-pound budgets to deliver change at a National scale, driving innovation to address some of society's most complex challenges.

I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges that leaders face, particularly when driving change in an uncertain world.  I know what can stand in the way of making change happen, and the courage required to get past these barriers;

I have built teams with a growth mindset, who are willing to take calculated risks and have the resilience to deal with the inevitable setbacks of delivering change.

Coaching has been a significant part of my own leadership toolset, and since gaining a Diploma in Transformational Coaching through the ICF accredited Animas Centre, I have been deploying my coaching skills in support of other leaders.

I have worked with a number of leaders across the public sector, establishing my own leadership coaching business alongside my leadership role in the Civil Service.

We will start with a free introductory 30 minute session, where we do a little bit of coaching, I explain a little more about how it all works, and set out how coaching can help in your situation. You then can decide whether it’s right for you.

Depending on the change you’re looking to make, we will discuss what the right package of sessions might look like, there is no one-size-fits-all, but a 3 or 6 session package is a usual starting point, the frequency for these sessions is entirely in your hands. I’m happy working on any video conferencing tool, and also in person if you’re based in London or the South East.

We will start by delving into the change you want to make, clarifying what success looks like, understanding where you are at the moment, and what’s standing in the way of you getting to where you want to be.

Through the sessions we’ll explore these barriers from different perspectives, bringing coaching tools and techniques to the table to help you to break them down in a manageable way, until you have clarity on your route to achieving your life and career goals.

At the end of each session I will ask you to reflect on what you’re taking from the session. My only real ask is that you commit to doing the work between the sessions to make the changes happen. We can discuss in the chemistry conversation your preferred approach to accountability.

For some people, coaching with me has been an ongoing journey, returning to address different life/career changes at different times. For others a 3 or 6 session package has been sufficient to make the change that they came for. All I ask is that before you dance off into the sunset with new found energy, motivation and success, you stop briefly to recommend me to your friends ;-)

Ultimately, coaching can benefit anyone in any situation, and I’m excited to take on clients from all backgrounds. But as a career civil servant, with teachers for parents and a wife who is a nurse, I have a particular bond for people working in the public sector. So if you’re working in the public or 3rd sectors, do let me know during our chemistry call and we can discuss a discounted rate.
